Power restored after thousands were impacted in far east El Paso County

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — UPDATE: Power has been restored in all areas impacted at 3:30 p.m.

A power outage was affecting the far east El Paso area on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the El Paso Electric outage map, there were several outages reported by Horizon City, Sparks, and Fabens.

There are about 2,390 customers impacted in Horizon City. About 2,551 customers were impacted in Sparks. About 3,653 customers were impacted in Far East El Paso and about 334 customers were impacted in Fabens.

According to El Paso Electric, the cause of the outage is uknown and crews are working to restore power.
