1. Large crowd protests against proposed border wall in Big Bend
As many as 2,000 people, according to some estimates, gathered on the steps of the Texas Capitol on Saturday to protest the construction of a border wall in the Big Bend region. This is an issue that has garnered considerable public pressure from local residents, authorities and even from circles within the U.S. Border Patrol.
