Texas A&M-Corpus Christi recently announced that the school is teaming up with Buc Days and PBR (Professional Bull Riders) for a twist on an annual student event.
On Friday, May 1, TAMU-CC will team with Buc Days and PBR with the “IzzFest Goes Buc Wild” event to kick off the annual Buc Days celebration. The event will blend high-energy sports and live entertainment, according to a news release. Buc Days is an annual event featuring attractions, food, music, a STEAM expo, and more.
This year’s Buc Days are set for April 30-May 10 at the Hilliard Center in Corpus Christi.
The release said “IzzFest Goes Buc Wild” will feature the PBR Velocity Tour Finals, followed by a live concert from country music star Carly Pearce. The PBR Velocity Tour features the world’s top bull riders going head-to-head in 27 cities across 21 states, and the release said it is coming back to Corpus Christi for the fifth straight year. Tickets for the public are available starting at $39 plus fees, and can be purchased online at bucdays.com/tickets.
“This partnership represents an exciting opportunity to bring together the energy of Islander college students, the thrill of professional bull riding, and the rich tradition of Buc Days,” said Johnny Philipello, President/CEO of Buc Days. “We’re proud to work alongside Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and PBR to create an unforgettable experience that showcases the best of sport and entertainment in the Coastal Bend.”
