Carroll has won four straight games at home, while Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won’t matter much on Friday. The Tigers will host the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Carroll’s favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last seven contests.

If Carroll beats Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial with ten runs on Friday, it’s going to be the team’s new lucky number: they’ve won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Tigers blew past Corpus Christi Moody 10-4 on Thursday. Considering the Tigers have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday’s blowout was nothing new.

Emerys Sanchez looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Ali Ann Deleon relieved her and did a solid job, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Avery Sauceda was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Julia Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Carroll kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now got at least eight hits in 13 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial posted their closest victory since May 10, 2025 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Corpus Christi Moody 2-1.

Lyla Creek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn’t given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Parker Malone, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Bella Salgado, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Carroll’s victory bumped their record up to 24-6-1. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 22-9.

Carroll came out on top in a nail-biter against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 2-0. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We’ll have the answer soon enough.
