AUSTIN, Texas — Police are searching for a man who stole a vehicle, crashed into another vehicle, and fled the scene in southeast Austin.
On Tuesday, March 31 at around 4 p.m., APD says that the driver of a stolen vehicle ran through a stop sign and crashed with another vehicle near the intersection of Stoneleigh Place and Blue Meadow Drive.
After the crash, the suspect fled the scene on food, police saying he did not stop and render aid.

The stolen vehicle’s dashcam captured photos of the suspect. Police describe him as a white or Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old with dark hair and a goatee.
Those with information are asked to submit tips through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program at austincrimestoppers.org, or by calling 512-472-8477.
A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
