People heading out on their lunch break should be cautious. A major crash involving an 18-wheeler is causing delays on a busy San Antonio highway.
The incident happened on U.S. 281 South at Hildebrand Avenue, near the Olmos Park area, at around 11:56 a.m. The scene is still active, with the traffic monitoring site SigAlert reporting that the right lane and highway entrance ramp are both closed.
Vehicles are currently backed up to Basse Road. The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) Transguide camera captured orange warning cylinders and police cars near the site.
Drivers were traveling between 31 and 46 mph as of 12:50 p.m. It’s unclear if there were injuries or what caused the crash.
