Spicewood, TX — Austin’s Ion Art is taking its imagination on the road, straight to Luck, Texas, Willie Nelson’s private ranch in the Hill Country. For two weekends this November 2025, the Surreal Luck art experience will transform the legendary movie set from Red Headed Stranger into a glowing dreamscape of neon, sculpture, music, and creativity.

The mind behind it all, Sharon Keshishian, has been crafting glass and neon art in Austin for more than 40 years.

“It cuts you, it burns you, it shocks you, but it makes this beautiful art,” she said. “I’ve been blowing glass for over 40 years now and I’m the only woman who’s been building glass in Austin that long.”

Inside Ion Art’s South Austin studio, Keshishian and her team of 35 design and fabricate every detail by hand, from concept sketches to final assembly. The shop’s creative fingerprints can be seen across the city, including the famous “@” sign at Sixth and Lamar, the giant jackalope on Airport, and a new 14-foot frog sculpture for Leander’s parks.

“The Surreal show is out at Luck Ranch in Spicewood,” Keshishian said. “It is going to be a surreal Wild West show with a Western theme. And so you can expect to be immersed in the whole feel of the Western. They’ll be the sculptures and, you know, fog and music and food and the whole West town.”

This year’s event features over 100 handmade pieces, including a Cadillac Coupe Deville tribute to Cadillac Ranch, a life-sized buffalo, a painted horse named White Cloud, a giant teepee, and an “alien abduction” zone.

One of the highlights: a glowing sculpture of Willie’s iconic guitar, Trigger, placed in front of the chapel.

“We want to do our fair share to help keep Austin, Austin,” Keshishian said. “I think we’re contributing to the beauty and uniqueness of this city.”

Ion Art and the Nelson family are partnering with Luck Presents to host the experience, blending art, music, and mystique under the Texas stars.
