Downtown Arlington was transformed into an open-air gallery for the 12th annual South Street Art Festival on Friday.
Crowds gathered along East South Street to browse a diverse collection of artwork spanning 14 categories.
About 100 local, regional and national artists displayed their artwork.
The event also featured live music performances and local food trucks.
Wyoming resident Eric Dorris, 49, owner of Eric Dorris Designs, makes hand-drawn, hand-cut, stenciled art painted with spray paint.
Dorris said art is a way to escape from reality and is something that he is passionate about.
“Art is freeing,” he said.
