You’d better hold on tight, spider monkey.

It’s been over 20 years since Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight first hit bookshelves in October 2005, generating an industry phenomenon that spawned three sequels and five films helmed by actors Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Now, fans of the breakout series can sink their teeth into the story that started it all, as a Texas theater hosts a Twilight screening, panel Q&A and meet and greet with two of its stars.

Austin’s historic Paramount Theatre unveiled on Wednesday, April 8, “An Evening with the Cullens,” comprising a screening of the first film paired with appearances from actors Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone (better known as Alice and Jasper Cullen).

“Step out of the Texas summer heat and into rainy Forks [Washington],” the venue wrote in the announcement. “Baseball scene, blue filter, and all the brooding vampire drama your heart can handle.”

Both Greene and Rathbone will visit the Texas capital for the event, slated to begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9. Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 10.

Rathbone is no stranger to the Live Music Capital of the World, having been raised in Midland and now living in Austin since 2018. While fans best know him for his appearance in the five-movie saga, he’s recently dived into the foodie world and now posts content reviewing burgers in Austin as well as around the globe.
