A teenager was stabbed and another juvenile arrested Wednesday in Crowley, police said in a statement.

Police responded to a report of an injured person in the 400 block of Angler Drive at around 3:49 p.m, according to the statement. Initial reports indicated that the teenager had been stabbed during a fight near Bess Race Elementary School and had non-life threatening injuries.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and was later released.

The juvenile suspect was detained by Everman police and later taken into custody by Crowley police on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident was isolated and remains an ongoing investigation, police said.
