Updates expected to include project timeline, outstanding contract items, and execution date.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City of Corpus Christi will provide a major update on the Inner Harbor desalination project during a city council workshop on Friday morning.Â
City officials are expected to provide a status of the Inner Harbor desalination contract. Staff will outline outstanding items needed before a finalized contract can be presented to council, along with a broader community update on desalination that includes project background and timeline, according to the city’s agenda.
The briefing will also include confirmation of the anticipated execution date for the final Inner Harbor desalination contract, a key milestone requested by Mayor Paulette Guajardo.
Officials emphasized the workshop will not allow the public to comment. However, community members will have an opportunity to speak at the April 14 City Council meeting.
3NEWS will livestream the workshop and provide updates throughout the morning.
