A man on the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Top Offenders list has been taken into custody after a police chase from Seguin to San Antonio.

Kristopher Shadd Friday II, 27, was wanted on several outstanding warrants after a violent offense on March 3, according to court records.

He faced warrants alleging a parole violation, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family assault by impeding breath or circulation, terroristic threat causing imminent fear of serious bodily injury, criminal mischief and interference with emergency assistance.

The Seguin Police Department learned he was in the area with the help of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Top Offenders Program, according to a news release.

Just before 2 p.m. Thursday, officers with the police department’s Criminal Apprehension Street Enforcement Unit attempted to pull over Friday’s vehicle in the 2900 block of West Kingsbury Street.

Friday drove off and led police on a pursuit that ended when his car “became disabled” in the 7000 block of Interstate 10 in San Antonio, police said. Officers took him into custody without further incident.

In addition to the outstanding warrants, authorities plan to file a charge in Guadalupe County of evading arrest in a motor vehicle, police said.

Friday is in custody at the Bexar County jail with total bail set at $74,500.
