One person was hospitalized after being shot by a homeowner who confronted them near a vehicle in Arlington, police said.
ARLINGTON, Texas — A person was injured in a shooting Friday morning after a homeowner confronted them near a vehicle, Arlington police said.Â
Just before 8 a.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Stoneriver Road after receiving calls about multiple gunshots in the area.Â
Police said the individual shot was attempting to remove an item from the vehicle when the homeowner heard a disturbance and went outside to investigate. During the encounter, the homeowner fired a shot, striking the individual.
The injured person was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been released.
It is unclear whether any charges will be filed and the investigation is ongoing.
