A female cub, one of a pair of cubs born this past February, is in need of a name and is at the center of a donation drive.
DALLAS — Have you been waiting all your life to name a newborn Sumatran tiger cub? Now’s your chance.
The Dallas Zoo is calling on the public to help do just that. The zoo’s 12-year-old Sumatran tiger Sukacita, which also goes by Suki, gave birth to two cubs in February, each weighing about 2.5 pounds.
Suki gave birth to a male and a female cub. The zoo is starting a naming contest for the female cub. The contest is donation-based and helps support wildlife conservation, the zoo said in a press release.
