One worker died and another was critically injured Friday afternoon after they were electrocuted while working from a bucket truck in south Fort Worth, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department.
​Firefighters responded to an electrocution call at about 1:40 p.m. at a gas station at 3823 East Loop 820, according to the fire department.
​The department’s statement said two men were working in a bucket truck near electrical lines when the accident occurred. Both were treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
​One of the workers was pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.​ The second worker remains in critical condition.
​The cause of the accident is under investigation. No further details were available.
