After months of chilly temps and gray skies, Dallas-Fort Worth is finally in full bloom and so is the spring festivals scene. North Texans have a variety to choose from, including art, music, botanical and Renaissance-fair events.

FESTIVAL OF JOY
Klyde Warren Park will be filled with a kaleidoscope of music, energy and color. This year, there will be a new spring spectacle, called the Ribbon Wave. There will also be a kids’ zone and a cultural discovery area for families to enjoy.

SCARBOROUGH RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
This year’s 45th annual Scarborough Renaissance Festival features a different theme each weekend for eight weekends. Festivalgoers can watch a jousting match in the new arena, walk through the King’s Dungeon and check out more fun Renaissance-theme activities.

ART IN THE SQUARE
Southlake Town Square will be transformed into art central during Art in the Square. It is an annual event hosted by the Southlake Women’s Club, and all proceeds from the event are donated to local charities that support women. During the three-day festival, there will be jazz, pop, classic rock and country music performances, plus lots of fun activities for the kids.

SPRING JAPANESE FESTIVAL
A celebration of the traditions and history of Japan is planned at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden’s Spring Japanese Festival. There will be authentic taiko drumming, tea ceremonies, food trucks, vendors, family-friendly crafts and cultural activities.

LEWISVILLE COLORPALOOZA
Attendees of the Lewisville Colorpalooza will get to experience a day full of creativity, education and interactive art activities. Some standout events include the logo contest, chalk this way and a new sensory safe space called the nest.

MAY FEST
Families can enjoy an array of activities in the 33 acres of Fort Worth’s Trinity Park. These activities include carnival rides, paddleboarding, rock climbing, bounce houses, a petting zoo, free activities for the kids, art and gift market and more.

42ND ANNUAL MAIN STREET FESTIVAL GRAPEVINE
This year, Main Street Fest in the heart of historic Grapevine will be celebrating Grapevine Mayor William D. Tate’s 50 years in office. There will also be live music and performances happening on three stages, a carnival and midway, craft brews and wine, festival food and a KidZone.

TEXAS MUSIC REVOLUTION
