EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Marathon El Paso Petroleum Refinery crews have extinguished a fire at their facility in South-Central El Paso, according to the El Paso Fire Department.
Emergency crews responded to a call for service at 212 N. Clark Dr. The fire was categorized a as a Condition 3 event, according to a spokesperson with the El Paso Fire Department.



In this case, the Condition 3 status came because of the facility, and not due to the blaze, according to an El Paso Fire Department spokesman.
KTSM 9 News has reached out to Marathon about the fire, and received the following statement:
“Trained teams are responding to a fire at Marathon’s El Paso refinery. There have been no injuries reported. Air monitoring has been deployed in the community as a precaution, and there is no indication of off-site impact. Our priority is to ensure the safety of our employees and contractors, first responders, the surrounding community and to limit environmental impact.”
EPFD was assisting in extinguishing the fire, but Marathon led the operation.
No injuries were reported.
