SOFTBALLSouthwest Christian topples All Saints
Fort Worth Southwest Christian out dueled Fort Worth All Saints, claiming an 8-5 victory Friday to sweep the season series.
Southwest Christian fell behind but took a 5-1 lead with a four-run third inning that was maintained the rest of the way. Lara Langford was a driving force, tallying three hits and two RBIs. Belle Barnardy contributed two hits, and Madeleine Donovan had two hits and a walk.
Langford also held her own in the circle, conceding six hits and allowing two earned runs. She gave up three walks and struck out five batters.

Dane Smith hit a 1-out, infield single to short to score courtesy runner Christian Beam to give Fort Worth Southwest Christian a 5-4 walk-off win over Midland Christian on Friday in a TAPPS Division II District 1 matchup.
With 1-out in the seventh Brody Bravomalo walked, brining in Beam to run. Matthew Monsisvais was hit by a pitch moving Beam to second where he came all the way around on Smith’s hit to short.
Smith went 2 for 2 with a walk and double at the plate, driving in 2 runs and scoring a run, all out of the 9 hole in the lineup for Southwest Christian (24-4 overall, 6-1 district). Cash Martin had a double in 2 official at bats with an RBI and run scored and drew 2 of the Eagles 12 walks in the game.
Midland Christian dropped to 16-9-1 overall and 4-3 in league play.
