Catch the Mavs’ final game on Channel 8 this season against their in-state rival.

DALLAS — The 2025-26 season is winding down for the Dallas Mavericks (25-55) and one more weekend of play may offer one last chance to see one of the NBA’s biggest current phenoms in Victor Wembanyama.

It is still up in the air whether the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year candidate will play tonight in San Antonio, as the Spurs (61-19) cautiously move towards the playoffs while trying to secure the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.

Wemby was listed on the Spurs’ injury report as of Friday morning due to a left rib injury suffered against Philadelphia earlier this week. Both he and fellow key contributor Stephon Castle missed San Antonio’s last game, a win against Portland, on Wednesday.

The Mavs, meanwhile, suffered a second loss in a row Wednesday against the Suns by a score of 112-107. Friday marks their road finale before closing out this season entirely at home against Chicago on Sunday. Also, Cooper Flagg joins the Mavs’ injury report list due to a left wrist injury that he’s been monitoring day to day.

Tipoff against the Spurs is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on WFAA and KFAA.
