The Texas-based Western apparel brand Ferrell has opened a new 23,000-square-foot distribution center in New Braunfels, a move company leaders say will significantly expand operations, create jobs and position the brand for long-term growth.
The facility, positioned between San Antonio and Austin, will serve as the brand’s primary logistics hub, improving shipping efficiency, inventory management and wholesale fulfillment as demand continues to climb.
“Over the past few years, we’ve experienced incredible growth, and this move is a direct investment in our future,” founder Corbett Ferrell said in a news release. “This facility gives us the space and infrastructure we need to support our retail partners, introduce new product lines, and continue building a brand our customers are proud to wear.”
Known for its pearl snap shirts and modern take on western wear, Ferrell products are now carried by major retailers, including Cavender’s and Murdoch’s, along with hundreds of other stores nationwide. Company leaders said the decision to land in New Braunfels was both strategic and personal.
“New Braunfels made a lot of sense for us for a few reasons,” Ferrell’s chief marketing officer Jesse Callahan told MySA in a statement. “It’s centrally located in Texas, which allows us to more efficiently serve both our retail partners and direct customers across the state and beyond. It also puts us in a strong position from a logistics standpoint with quick access to major cities like San Antonio and Austin.”
That proximity, combined with regional highway access, positions the company to move product faster across Texas and into broader national markets. But the move also carries a deeper meaning for the brand.
“Beyond that, there’s a personal element,” Callahan continued. “Corbett Ferrell grew up in this area, so being able to invest back into a community that helped shape him was important to us. We see this as more than just a warehouse; it’s a long-term commitment to building something meaningful locally.”
The expansion represents a multimillion-dollar investment into Ferrell’s operations and is expected to bring new jobs to the region. In the near term, the company anticipates adding more than 30 roles across office and warehouse operations, with long-term employment tied to the facility projected to grow to as much as five times its current size as the business continues to scale.
“This expansion gives us the infrastructure we need to continue hiring and supporting that growth,” Callahan wrote.
That growth has already been significant. Over the past several years, Ferrell has seen rapid gains across both its direct-to-consumer business and wholesale network, with increasing demand from retail partners and continued momentum online.
“This new facility allows us to handle up to 5x our current volume, which is critical as we continue expanding distribution and launching new products,” Callahan said in a statement to MySA. “It improves everything from inventory management to fulfillment speed and gives us the ability to better support our retailers while continuing to grow the brand nationally.”
