A 55-year-old man died in a traffic collision in Anthony, Texas, and El Paso police were investigating another serious collision at a West Side intersection in separate cases.
The intersection of North Mesa Street and Brentwood Avenue was closed after a traffic collision involving at least two vehicles at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday, April 11, according to an El Paso police news media message and an online traffic map by the Texas Department of Transportation.

The collision resulted in serious injuries, police said.
Further details were not immediately available as an investigation by the police Special Traffic Investigations Unit continued.

Man dies in Saturday morning traffic collision in Anthony, Texas
A 55-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred about 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Anthony, Texas, at the intersection of Antonio Street and Wildcat Drive near I-10, Anthony Police Chief Carlos Enriquez said in an email.
As is standard procedure in all traffic fatalities, the scene was turned over by Anthony police to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office special traffic investigators for further investigation, Enriquez added.

Further details were not immediately released as the deadly collision remained under investigation Saturday.
