WACO, Texas (KWTX) – If you were looking for a bite to eat on Saturday, Downtown Waco was the place to be.
The Texas Food Truck Showdown returned to Central Texas, bringing more than 35 food trucks to the heart of the city—each one serving up its best dish.
This year’s entries were put to the test by seven judges, scoring everything from presentation to flavor.
Organizers say it’s a longtime community favorite—and 2026 marks a major milestone: 10 tasty years of flavors.
“I love the energy that it brings. We get in trucks from all over the state, even out of state so all that excitement just really shows throughout the day,” Rebecca Sheehy with Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce said.
Judges sampled a little bit of everything—from tacos to waffle sandwiches—and of course, plenty of desserts to finish it off.
