Dirty Dough has officially cleaned out of San Antonio. After a 2023 debut in the city’s Stone Oak neighborhood, the Arizona-born bakery chain has officially shuttered its last location on the Northwest Side.

According to a now-deleted social media update, the business at 10722 Potranco Rd. closed its doors in April.
“After much thought, we want to share that our Potranco location of Dirty Dough will be closing,” the update read, according to CultureMap. “We are incredibly grateful for the love and support from our San Antonio community…Thank you for being part of our story, for supporting a local business, and for all the sweet memories we’ve created together.”
The bakery, known for its gooey cake-like cookies dressed with a wide variety of filling and toppings, first opened in San Antonio in 2023 at 19903 Stone Oak Pkwy. That outpost closed just six months later, with owner Jalon Miyasaki citing “slow business.”

“Unfortunately due to slow business, we had to close up the stone oak dirty dough. We are sad this happened but we are so grateful for the time we had there,” he said in a November 2023 Facebook update.
He noted that while his shop was closing, another owner was opening a different Dirty Dough location in the Potranco area: “The potranco location is owned by a different person and we are excited for them to open up this month!” Miyasaki wrote.
Although the Potranco location closed in early April, the cookie chain won’t crumble in San Antonio just yet. According to a March filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, another Dirty Dough outpost is set to come to 5216 Broadway in Alamo Heights later this year.
Construction on the new Dirty Dough location is set to begin on Tuesday, with an expected completion date set for early July. An official grand opening date has not yet been announced.
