Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announces Tylenol lawsuit

  • October 28, 2025

(KXII) – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson and Kenvue on Tuesday for deceptively marketing Tylenol to pregnant mothers.

The lawsuit alleges the two health companies were aware that early exposure to acetaminophen during pregnancy and early childhood leads to a higher risk of autism and other disorders in newborns and children.

In a press release, Paxton says that Johnson & Johnson marketed Tylenol as a completely safe pain medication for pregnant women despite being aware of the risks, violating Texas’s consumer protection laws.

“Big Pharma betrayed America by profiting off of pain and pushing pills regardless of the risks. These corporations lied for decades, knowingly endangering millions to line their pockets,” said Attorney General Paxton.
