Cloudy, warm Monday in North Texas with no threat of severe storms

Monday brings cloudy skies and a dwindling threat of storms for North Texas, after a weekend of spotty showers and storms. 

The day will begin mostly cloud with high temperatures set to top out near 85 degrees, before dropping to 68 degrees at night, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. Wind gusts as high as 25 mph will be possible. 

The rest of the week is expected to have a consistent chance of showers and thunderstorms, although there may be some sunshine later this week. It is forecast to be a fairly warm week with daytime temperatures in the 80s. 

MONDAY: Morning clouds and sprinkles will give way to partly sunny skies, breezy and warm. High: 85. Wind: S 15-25 mph.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny, breezy and warm with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low: 67. High: 82. Wind: S 15-25 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Sun and clouds, warm with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low: 67. High: 80. Wind: S 10-20 mph.

THURSDAY: Partial sunshine, warm. Low: 64. High: 85. Wind: S 10-15 mph.

FRIDAY: A mixture of sun and clouds, warm. Low: 65. High: 83. Wind: S 10-20 mph.
