Hooters restaurant in Corpus Christi closed its doors, with signage posted at the restaurant confirming the shutdown took effect at the end of business on Sunday, April 12.

The notice states the closure is part of a broader effort to “revitalize and strengthen the Original Hooters brand across America.”
It also thanks customers, employees, and community partners for their years of support.
3NEWS visited the location and encountered a manager who declined to be interviewed. A moving truck was seen on-site, showing the business had closed.
The restaurant reopened its doors back in 2024 after shutting down in 2021 following a fire.
The restaurant chain Hooters of America filed for bankruptcy protection in Texas in March 2025, aiming to restructure about $376 million in debt by selling company-owned restaurants to a franchise group backed by its founders.
The company since then has been under pressure from rising costs, including food, labor, and inflation, along with declining consumer spending in the casual dining sector, according to a report on NBC News.
