PLANO — The ArtCentre of Plano launches a new milestone with Art With Impact, its first juried exhibition of Texas artists.

More than 200 submissions were reviewed, and 70 works were selected to tell a broader story. The exhibition emphasizes how art reflects its time, place, and people, not just individual talent.

This show underscores the importance of creativity in public life. Art With Impact demonstrates that art challenges, comforts, provokes, and inspires.

It reflects diverse identities, strengthens communities, and leaves a lasting impression.

The exhibition was curated by Texas-born art professional Kristin Rivas, whose experience spans art history, gallery leadership, and advocacy.

Drawing on both regional and international perspectives, she sought to create a collection greater than the sum of its parts.

Rivas said, “Each work stands on its own but contributes to a larger dialogue. The strength of Texas art is in the collective vitality of artists working today.”

Art With Impact highlights the growing role of the ArtCentre of Plano as a platform to celebrate and share Texas creativity.
