LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Texas Tech University announced James Reecy as its new vice president for research and innovation.
Reecy is coming from Iowa State University, where he served as associate vice president for research since 2017.
According to Texas Tech, Reecy has a proven commitment to translating academic discovery into real-world solutions.
University President Lawrence Schovanec said he is confident Reecy will “help to further elevate Texas Tech’s national research profile.”
Reecy will begin his new role on July 1.
