The Dallas Stars are taking steps toward being healthy once again with two forwards returning to the lineup Monday.
Radek Faksa and Michael Bunting are both expected to play in Monday’s road game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Stars coach Glen Gulutzan announced.
Stars defenseman Lian Bichsel will also get the night off, as Kyle Capobianco returns to game action for the first time since April 2. Gulutzan said the Stars want to get as many players as possible in the lineup Monday and Wednesday, but they expect to use defensive pairings closer to those they will use in the playoffs Wednesday.
Dallas remains without Miro Heiskanen, Roope Hintz, Nathan Bastian and Sam Steel. Steel could return for Wednesday’s game in Buffalo. The others are out for the rest of the regular season, but Dallas is hopeful to return them early in the postseason.
