With two first-round picks in this year’s NFL draft, the Dallas Cowboys can go several directions. One thing they can’t afford to do is take a risk on a redshirt player. At least that’s what Jerry Jones said.
Would that impact the likelihood of Dallas selecting Auburn’s Keldric Faulk in the first round? Cowboys insider Joseph Hoyt broke down Faulk’s strengths and weaknesses as the draft quickly approaches.
According to Hoyt, Faulk (6-6, 276 pounds) has the makeup of someone who deserves to be a top-10 pick. He’s a high-character player with the ability to line up anywhere on the defensive line. The downside? His production wasn’t exactly eye-popping.
He posted only two sacks and five tackles for loss in 2025 at Auburn. Faulk could be a good player in the future, but it might take some time. With the Cowboys needing to improve defensively, they may not have much time to wait.
