LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Emergency crews rescued a person trapped inside a vehicle submerged in a playa lake in southwest Lubbock Wednesday morning.
Just before 8 a.m., dispatch received a call regarding a suicidal subject. According to LPD, the individual intentionally drove into the lake near 56th and Bangor.
The Lubbock Fire Rescue Dive Team and LPD are assisting.
According to LFR, the individual was pulled from the vehicle and is currently being transported to the hospital.
