We’re streaming the Texas MICHELIN Guide ceremony live from Wortham Theater Center in downtown Houston. Our live stream begins at 6:50 p.m. and goes until the ceremony ends.

How do restaurants earn Michelin stars?

According to the guide’s website, the stars are awarded to restaurants based on these five criteria, verbatim:

The quality of the ingredientsThe harmony of flavorsThe mastery of techniquesThe personality of the chef as expressed through their cuisineConsistency both across the menu and over time
