A Fort Worth resident claimed a $2 million Powerball prize in the game’s April 6 drawing, according to the Texas Lottery.
The player, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket at QuikTrip at 3436 N. Tarrant Parkway, in Fort Worth, lottery officials said.
The winning ticket, with player-chosen numbers and power play, matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (7-24-37-42-57) but not the red Powerball number (5). The Power Play number was 2 with an additional win of $8 on the same ticket, according to lottery officials
QuikTrip may be eligible for a $10,000 bonus under the Texas Lottery’s retailer bonus program for selling the winning ticket.
Powerball drawings are broadcast on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:12 p.m. CT and can be viewed online.
Players can win the grand prize by matching five white numbers from a field of 69, and one red Powerball number from a field of 26. Players who choose Power Play for $1 more per ticket can multiply their non-grand prize winnings by two, three, four, five or 10 times.
