From spring festivals to live music and family-friendly activities, check out these events planned for late April through mid-May in the Northeast San Antonio Metrocom area.

April
Spring Night Market
This outdoor evening market will feature over 20 local vendors, including small businesses and local artists, plus an open coffee bar.

2026 Kentucky Derby
Head to San Antonio’s local race track for a watch party of the national event in Louisville, Kentucky. There will be free horse rides, live music and food.

Catch this market featuring local produce, vendors, businesses and more. It will be the second of three markets in the spring, and then a break will last until August.
Great Texas Airshow
The annual airshow features the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army Parachute Team. This year’s theme is “Let Freedom Roar; Honoring 250 Years.”
Corgi Races
See these famed dog races inside the San Antonio area’s largest race track. The top three winners will receive a prize.
Latido Festival
The first annual Latido Festival will showcase regional Mexican musicians from Nuevo León and Tijuana, plus authentic cuisine, a party atmosphere, games and more.
Nature Discovery Series
Designed for families with elementary-aged children, this hands-on and nature-themed education workshop will focus on geology and will be led by Texas Master Naturalists.
Tacos & Tequila Festival
This music and food festival will feature famous artists such as Three 6 Mafia, plus local businesses, vendors, tequila distillers, special events and more.
Dark Skies & Fireflies
This education workshop will be led by local firefly expert Ben Pfeiffer. The program will not only teach participants about the local fauna but also how to safely capture fireflies for observation.
2026 5K Cupcake Run
Hosted by the nonprofit Gabriella’s Smile Foundation, this 5K and fun run will support families dealing with pediatric cancer. Each participant gets a free cupcake at the finish line.

The annual parade honoring veterans and those who are serving in the military will weave through the city of Live Oak. There will also be free food, games, live music, giveaways and more.
