LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – (News release from Texas Department of Transportation)
The Indiana Avenue and Woodrow Road (CR 7600) intersection will be closed to overnight traffic tonight starting at 7 p.m. The closure will allow crews to safely continue work to rebuild the intersection. Drivers will need to seek an alternate route around the work area. The roadway is expected to reopen by 5 a.m., Thursday.
Once the intersection is reopened, traffic will temporarily travel on unpaved lanes until hot mix can be place on Thursday. Flaggers will guide traffic through the intersection during paving operations. Drivers are asked to slow down, stay alert and watch out for the crew as they approach the work zone.
Then on Thursday, April 16, the US 62 (Marsha Sharp Freeway) off-ramp to west Loop 289 will be closed to allow for a scheduled routine bridge inspection. The ramp will be closed to traffic starting after the morning rush. Drivers will need to find an alternate route around the work zone. The ramp will reopen Thursday afternoon.
