“Due to projected inclement weather, the Maroon & White Game on Saturday has been moved to 11:00 a.m.” the school said in its release.
According to the National Weather Service, Saturday’s forecast includes likely rain showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. South wind 5 to 15 mph, becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. Saturday night, showers are likely, possibly a thunderstorm before 1 a.m.
With the school moving the game up by two hours, it appears there is a chance the game could avoid weather disturbances altogether.
The team was split into two, with captains picking the rosters. Quarterback Marcel Reed and safety Dalton Brooks picked the white team’s roster. Wide receiver Terry Bussey and linebacker Daymion Sanford represented maroon.
