Fort Worth Police and firefighters are on scene of a hazmat incident near downtown Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth firefighters and police officers are investigating a deadly crash and hazmat incident in the 1900 block of Delga St.Â
Fort Worth fire officials confirm two people died at the scene, and a firefighter was taken to the hospital due to a possible exposure.Â
Firefighters and officers were called to the scene just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Fort Worth police said a driver struck a pole at the location. The passenger died at the scene, and the driver was taken to the hospital. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.Â
Officials have not yet released what led to the hazmat call.
Fort Worth Officials say there is no ongoing threat to the public.Â
