The Dallas Spartan Race, a 5K obstacle course, will take place this Saturday on City Hall Plaza and throughout the Central Business District. Traffic and parking will be affected to accommodate the event. All roads will reopen by Tuesday, April 21. 

The event consist of 20 obstacles including rope climbs, walls and other technical challenges, according to the official race website. The festival area will be located in front of Dallas City Hall Plaza. Parking will not be available, but the city of Dallas has allocated surface lots for those competing in the event within walking distance of the venue.

Main Street Garden Park, Harwood Park, Pacific Plaza and Carpenter Park will have restricted access during the event. Here are road closures you need to know before visiting the downtown area this weekend.
