A suspect in Dallas crashed a stolen car into another vehicle, and a pedestrian was killed in the collision, according to police.
DALLAS — A pedestrian was killed during a carjacking in Dallas April 16, police said.
Around 5:30 p.m. April 16, the Dallas Police Department responded to a robbery in progress call near the intersection of Collett Avenue and Live Oak Street.
Police said a suspect jumped into a passing vehicle, pushed the driver out and sped away. The suspect then crashed into a car in the 1200 block of Collett Avenue. The impact of the crash struck a pedestrian, who was transported to the hospital where they died, according to police.
Additional officers were called to the scene to arrest the suspect and assist with traffic control. The suspect and driver of the struck vehicle were also treated for their injuries.
Police are still investigating the incident.
