Kitchen Rumors opened in July, serving global Indian-inspired food, but the restaurant has already redecorated the patio once. Kahani Social Group, which also runs Amrina in The Woodlands, replaced umbrella-shaded picnic benches with circular tables and laid-back chairs. Green fronds billow upward from understated planters, scattered across the deck. Fans keep humid air circulating, and diners and their dogs look out from the fenced area onto leafy trees and the occasional car whizzing by. The restaurant bills itself as a chill spot to try out something creative: lobster dumplings, perhaps, or cardamom-spiced spaghetti bolognese. The uncovered patio, sparse but comfortable, fits the bill.
