Police say a driver flipped their vehicle early Friday morning, hitting a bus stop and a light pole.
AUSTIN, Texas — Part of an East Austin roadway is closed early Friday morning after two people were injured in a crash.Â
According to Austin police, a driver flipped their vehicle at around 1:30 a.m. along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Alexander Avenue. Law enforcement said the vehicle rolled over, damaging a bus stop and a light pole.Â
Two people were inside the vehicle at the time of the collision, and both were taken to a hospital. One person is suffering from severe injuries, and neither has been identified.
No one has been charged at this time, and it’s unclear what led up to the crash.Â
A portion of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard has since been closed in both directions, and it’s uncertain when the roadway will reopen to traffic.Â
