A severe water shortage in Corpus Christi is threatening operating margins at the South Texas refining hub that supplies jet fuel to major Texas airports, including Austin‑Bergstrom and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). With reservoirs at historic lows and emergency groundwater wells already on line, city officials are preparing to move from voluntary conservation to mandated industrial curtailments as soon as later this year.
