Police and fire crews responded to a car crash on Delga Street just before 11:30 a.m., where they found that a car struck a parked car and then traveled a short distance before stopping. Emergency crews found a man dead in the passenger seat of the wrecked car, the release said. Crews provided medical care to a man in the driver’s seat, but he died at the scene. Their identities have not been released. Police said the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of their deaths.

During the investigation, police found in the vehicle 10 buckets full of liquid, which was tested and positively identified as methamphetamine, according to an X post by the department.

“The total estimated weight of the substance was 480 pounds, and it has a potential street value between $1 million and $3 million,” the release said.

Police said the fumes from the liquid were very strong, but were contained inside the vehicle. A Fort Worth firefighter working the crash was transported to a local hospital for possible exposure, but was expected to be released today in good condition.Â
