If you want to find programs to help you build your credit or get thousands of dollars to help you buy a home, there’s an event in Collin County set for April 18, designed to help you reach your financial goals.
The North Texas Association of Realtists is bringing together local financial experts for the second annual Wealth Building Community Day.
The day is filled with workshops on investing, workforce development opportunities, understanding heir’s property, avoiding foreclosure, and how to find down payment assistance to make homeownership possible.
Roz Booker, faith-based and community engagement chair for NAREB North Texas, says many people don’t realize just how many financial resources are available and how they can be combined.
“So in essence, you can layer three different programs together and basically buy down your principal, have all of your closing costs and down payment paid, and possibly discount points to even buy your interest rate down,” Booker said. “And that’s what people need to understand is there’s a plethora of opportunities.”
Community Day is Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Old Settlers Recreation Center in McKinney. Learn more about the workshops and how to register here.
