Shower chances back on radar for El Paso area

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Friday, Borderland! A gusty, dusty Friday will be followed by cooler temperatures and shower chances for the weekend.

Saturday will be primarily sunny with a high in the mid 70s. Cooler winds will blow around 10-15 mph with gusts near 20 mph. Overnight low will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Gusts will be upwards of 30 mph with wind speeds around 15-20 mph.

Sunday will be much cooler with a high in the upper 60s. Expect partly sunny skies and shower chances in the afternoon. Winds will blow 15-20 mph with cool gusts around 25-30 mph. Overnight low will be around 55 with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Conditions calm down for the start of the workweek. The high will be near 80 with light winds. The low will be in the upper 50s.

Tuesday will have a warmer high in the upper 80s and mostly sunny skies. The overnight low will be in the low 60s.

Wednesday is a near repeat of Tuesday, both temperature and conditions-wise.

Winds will return Thursday and Friday with the possibility of blowing dust.
