LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – We’ve got a chilly and breezy Saturday morning on our hands! I know there are several outdoor things to do around Lubbock and the South Plains today, so I think you’ll want to grab a jacket if you’re heading outside!
SATURDAY
While we will warm up from this mornings lows in the 40s, we’ll still be a lot cooler than Friday as high temperatures stay in the 60s for most of the area.

Winds will continue to relax as we push into rest of today.
TONIGHT
Thanks to calming winds and dry air, low temperatures will be approaching the mid to upper 30s and possibly even lower 30s for our northwestern counties.
Temperatures will drop down to near freezing for our northwestern counties(Dylan Smith)
A Freeze Watch has been issued for those northwestern counties.
SUNDAY
Another gorgeous day! We’ll be pretty pleasant all day as high temperatures get close to the 70 degree mark in the afternoon.
Chilly overnight temperatures this weekend will give way to rain chances Monday and then a warm up heading into next week(Dylan Smith)
Winds stay at a light breeze of around 10 to 20 mph with plenty of sunshine to go around.
UPCOMING WEATHER PATTERN
After what’s looking like a possibly wet start to the week for some Monday, we’re eyeing a pretty quiet and warm rest of next week coming our way as high temperatures climb back into the mid to upper 80s.
