San Antonians who have grown tired of chicken on a stick during Fiesta will have another option for chicken starting this week.
Bojangles, the southern chain famous for its fried chicken and biscuits, is opening its second San Antonio location on the city’s Southwest Side this week. The restaurant, located at 3003 SW Military Drive near Somerset Road, will open on Tuesday.
The first 25 people who arrive when the restaurant opens on opening day will get a $25 Bojangles gift card and a swag bag. Another ten customers who make a purchase throughout the day will get free Bojangles breakfast for a year.
The chain, which started in North Carolina in 1977, is known for its fried chicken sandwiches, buttery biscuits and Southern-inspired sides, like pimento cheese, dirty rice and macaroni & cheese. Not to mention the Bo-Tatos, the chain’s fried potatoes in disc-like form.
Bojangles has more than 850 locations nationwide.
