EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Science Festival returned this weekend at the El Paso Convention Center with special guest Astronaut José Hernández.

The festival featured interactive exhibits, live science shows, and presentations.

Astronaut José Hernández also spoke to students Saturday morning at the El Paso Community College Valle Verde Flexitorium.

“I visited El Paso Community College to inspire the next generation as well as inspire parents to push their children,” Hernández said.

Founded in 2023, the El Paso Science Festival aims to show young children the magic of science and technology and inspire them to envision themselves as future scientists.
