LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) -After a cold start Sunday morning, the South Plains will quickly shift into a warmer and drier pattern that raises fire weather concerns.
Temperatures dipped to near or below freezing early this morning.
By afternoon, winds turn southerly, and temperatures rebound into the 60s and 70s.

Fire danger will remain elevated today thanks to lingering dry air and breezy conditions.
However, clouds will begin to increase Sunday night as overnight lows drop into the mid to upper 40s.

Monday, a weak disturbance moves in from the southwest bringing a chance of light rain.
Rainfall will likely be scattered and generally light. A few isolated rumbles of thunder are possible, but severe weather is not expected.
