A Texas man is facing charges after allegedly causing a crash that closed a portion of West Chippewa St. early Sunday morning.
Buffalo Police say 36-year-old Marcus Edwards of Temple, Texas was driving down West Chippewa St. near near Franklin St. when he allegedly struck a pedestrian who was standing on the sidewalk. Edwards then continued driving and hit another vehicle, according to a BPD spokesperson.

The pedestrian was taken to ECMC for what police say are non-life threatening injuries.
Edwards has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated and a traffic violation for changing lanes unsafely.
